• You have to pay nearly $500 to get a merchant account (Not including monthly fees).  You can go directly to their source and get it for under $200.   You can also accept PayPal for $200 which anyone could set up on their site for FREE!  It costs them nothing to integrate PayPal into the site.  Without these your site with them is useless.  Go to http://store.buyitsellit.com/ to get a real store that has Paypal integrated for only $9.95 a month.

• When we said we would have to think about getting a merchant account because of the cost the customer representative hanged up on us.  Which is common among these home business plans where you have to call a telemarketer to get additions to make the plan work or work better.  If you have no money then your not worth even a goodbye!

• Wholesale products are not anywhere near real wholesale prices.  They are a lot closer to retail and your profits are quite small.  Don't even waste your time and money selling the items on auctions sites.  The sellers with real wholesale or at least decent drop shipping connections will make you look like a joke.

• Limited to designing your site online with their amateur looking templates.  You can't even put your logo at the very top of the page.  On most of the templates it would look a lot better if you could place it in the upper left corner.  If you have a slow internet connection it will take forever to make.

• No clue as to shipping costs which makes it hard to sell on auctions.  Although at their prices no one would spend that much at an auction.  I believe they say you must place a mock order on your site to see what the shipping will be, but off course you must have the expensive merchant account or PayPal option.

• Limited search engine submission.  You would never hope to make anywhere near top results in these few major search engines.  There are places you can be listed in over 500,000 engines and sites for $9.95 to take advantage of link popularity.

• If you want it to point to your domain name you need to pay a $20 fee, when most hosts do it for free.

• We returned the product and got a refund minus the shipping.

• You are better off just getting a domain name for $9.99,  pointing it to a free Vstore ( You earn commissions on sales and the store looks more professional), and submitting it to the search engines for $9.95.  You will probably get the same results for a lot less time and money.  Why risk a large amount of money on another home business plan that probably won't work.  legalinvestigations.com is a domain name for only $9.95 with legal and investigative affiliate programs, and our own words.  Marketing is done with our own search engine submission software.  Hosting is only a few bucks month, and whatever commission is earned is profit.  Although its not spectacular, its better than spending hundreds of dollars with no results.

• As with most of these home business plans they are business's that see an exhausted, outmoded, or over saturated market for a product or service and the last way to milk the money out of it is to market it as a home business plan.  If these plans where all so great then why wouldn't they just increase their business?  Just think about the fact that the more you see these commercials, the more people are buying it, and the more saturated the market becomes.  Someday everyone will buy everything from themselves through their home biz plans.  Its a fair bet that the people in the commercials where either hand held and helped judging from some of their amateur looking sites or they already had a flourishing brick and mortar business.

• No home business plan will ever be as good as advertised until they really offer you a wide variety of products (or services), especially computers, software, electronics, and name brands at real near wholesale prices (we understand they need to cover the costs of bringing us the products and make a profit.)  Stop hiding costs, and give people a real web site ready to go with a little customizing.  Some actually let you design it using a web site program on your computer to upload.  We have tried hundreds of home business products over the past 12 years and not one has been the real deal.  Stick with free web sites, and affiliate programs.

• Although we never gave it a full try we can say all this because we have set-up many real web sites for 4 years.  They were offering nothing special or different.  There was no magic formula or advantage that would make you rich or even just an extra $100 a week.  Judging by the phone representative who hanged up the minute we said, "we had no money" you can guess that all they care about is raking in the big profits.  In a final side note we said we had no money with several home business plans including Don Lapre's Making Money (Don Lapre himself doesn't have anything to do with it anymore - see http://www.donlapre.com/) and each time they disconnected us without so much as a goodbye.  Next time you get one of these plans and the phone rep is trying to hawk more stuff just say you have no money, and see what happens...........

I really wish I had seen you're website or any number of other reviews before purchasing and sinking well earned money into Internet Treasure Chest and my website http://www.AnotherInternetShop.com . I don't know what I was thinking when I purchased the program and even more so when I actually purchased the Merchant Account. On the average day I assure you I am at least as smart as the average person. I just don't know what caused me to do it. I have already sunk about $1000 in to the ITCTV website for the web package, advertising & promotions. Even after extensive marketing techinques I picked up working in the AOL Marketing Department in the AOL Headquarters building (where by the way I was able to sell 1000's of items per day back in 1997!!!), I am still looking for the day after over 1 month that I will see at least on sale regardless of the amount. I wish I would have returned the package as soon as the prices they offer. Especially since immediately after seeing them and the shipping they hide. The really sad thing is that I actually wanted to develop this site to help raise money to donate to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation not really to make myself wealthy. I would have been satisfied with even making $500 per month to donate.. I would be luck to make even $1 !!! I have even tried to use auctions, but the bids usually stop coming in after half the cost of the item. The few people who have made successful bids have asked to have them retracted because they found the same items for MUCH, MUCH lower prices. They really don't tell you how much investment it really takes to develop a eCommerce site that will generate revenue. Plus the prices are not anywhere as attractive as they need to be to attract any sales. I get about 2000 unique hits per day, but not a single sale. I have even gone so far as changing the prices to the cost the sell me the products for some of the products. At this point I am thinking about dropping the warehouse products, re-doing the site to the extent I can and finding other vendors that can actually provide products that are attractive and at a real savings. If that doesn't help... I'll just have to close up shop and find other was to make money to donate to the CFF.   J.  Amjad

I think they even have one person in the commercial who claims they work at the Internet Treasure Chest and used the system to make money.  If he did then the fact that he was an employee and on the TV show probably means he had quite an advantage & was hand held and helped through it all silver platter style.  Wouldn't every employee of theirs do this, and quit their jobs.  You would think with such a great system it would be hard to keep employees!?!  This should be true of all employees of home business programs.  In theory it should be real hard to get anyone on the phone and flush your money down the toilet!

We say below that on donny lapre's web site he claims he is no longer involved, and some other weasels took control.  That may be true but it was still the same basic load they have now.  We agree that he sucks (the voice alone says it all) and its funny that the current weasels who took over told him not to let the door hit his ass on the way out of the Arizona office.

Never even returned email where we requested how exactly you get $1200 just for referring someone who wants to sell their home for top value.  Also you supposedly get $200 for giving away disks.  For that reason we didn't want to pay hundreds of dollars.  If its so good then why don't they take the fee once a person gets the $1200?!?  Another system that wants the money up front and won't put their money where their mouth is!

Remember if it sounds to good to be true then it probably is!

• This sweetheart is from the early nineties so you may not have heard of it.  This was the first home business plan we ever bought.   Ron Way's Tronsoft.  He took the money and ran!  Of course his was the standard story of being dirt poor and then he magically became a millionaire from his little one room apartment.  He supposedly designed software that created analysis reports for professionals that ranged from real estate, mortgages, franchises, and some other crap I can't remember.  Amazing how a poor guy was able to get a home computer in the late seventies or early eighties.  I am sure things were great for him because he was able to charge from $50 to hundreds of dollars to generate reports for professionals back when everyone didn't have computers or software certainly not as easy or as cheap as to use as today.  Now off course in hindsight I realize that this weasel realized that software was becoming cheap and everyone was getting computers so charging big money for performing services with their software was a joke. But that premise never stops the home business weasel from making that last bundle of cash off a dying industry.  Through his TV infomercials back in 1989-1990 he tricked many a poor bastard into giving him almost $200 for his piece of crap manual, forms, and video.  He even had the nerve to have a few fire side chat seminars where your supposed to have coffee and cake with him.  I would have loved to have been at one to see a master liar in person.  He even as a last ditch attempt began selling his crappy computer systems and software so we could make the reports ourselves.  Luckily I didn't' have the cash then.  Well all of the sudden one day he raises the cost to process the reports to almost how much we are supposed to charge the pro's to buy.  Then a few months later the phones are disconnected and mail is returned with no forwarding address.  The piece of sub-human crap is probably living it up in Mexico right now laughing at how he got away with all those suckers money.  If anyone knows the whereabouts of Ron Way (What a stupid name.  It sounds like Wrong Way!) then contact us!  We will give you a $10 reward via PayPal.  Sorry, that's all his miserable carcass is worth!

• Educational Services Of America Scholarship Search - They disappeared back in the early nineties!  We actually made some money off this for a while.  You give students a form to fill out then you give the form to the weasels who use their software to match students up with scholarships they qualify for.  Of course it was discovered that people could find this stuff for free at their school or library.  Later on there was software and the internet as well.  Apparently they claimed bankruptcy or where in danger of legal action for some reason.  Details are sketchy.   A few months later they contact us from another state under the name Educational Information services acting like someone bought them out, but we swear it was the same people!  Eventually they totally disappeared since the profits did a year earlier!  The only benefit of this service was to lazy students who didn't want to do their own research on what they qualified for!  $495 (One manual and some forms) + a few hundred in news paper ads flushed down the craper!

• Don Lapre's Making Money - http://www.makingmoney.com/  (Don Lapre himself doesn't have anything to do with it anymore - see http://www.donlapre.com/.  Although its another "I was dirt poor in my little one room apartment when all of the sudden SHAZAM! I placed a tiny classified ad in my local paper and I was a millionaire.  Come on Don you must be one of them lucky SOB's!)  Standard load of bull.  Oh one tiny little classified ad and away we go to riches....NOT!  I fell for the telemarketers 1-900 number pitch and flushed nearly $500 down the sewer to get two 1-900 numbers that no one ever called.  Made nothing on them after wasting hundreds on ads.  You think sex sells.  Not when regular folks try apparently.  Try setting up an adult web site and watch absolutely nothing happen!  Lure them in with free boobies and you get nothing in return!  In addition, Universal Business Strategies, kept charging my card for web hosting I never had or never used.  I tell you when some people get a hold of your credit card number they keep if for life!  Oh and Cindy Margolis is in those sham commercials.  The ditzy blond who claims to be the most downloaded women on the internet but yet she appears naked nowhere.  As a matter of fact I have no idea what she has ever done except the infomercial, and her web site paying homage to herself?!? • Brad Richdale's Secrets To Making Money Now.  Yes we are ashamed to admit that we paid $1000 for their sad imall plan.  Something later offered on TV for under $50.  Whenever a home biz plan rep try's to sell you a really high priced addition just wait a few years because they may sell it for $39.95 on TV.

• 30 - Minute Money Making System - Information is quite common and not anything like suggested on infomercial.  A standard re-packaging of the same information you get in every other TV home business scam!

• The Mellinger Co Import Export.  All Nick Nacks!  Nothing!

• SMC - All Nick Nacks!  No One Is Buying.  Market over saturated, especially auction sites.  You can't even get anyone to buy American flag products or sports nick nacks!!  If by some fluke they do, then of course SMC is out of stock!  I trusted Tom Bosley, but never again!  Shame on you!  $300 flushed down the toilet!  If you want a web site from then which costs them nothing to duplicate then get ready to give up a few hundred more and you must go through a crafty telemarketing weasel!

• Any plans that say you will get wholesale access are lying and its always nothing but nick nacks.  Nothing anyone really needs or wants.

• There are so many other countless plans we all bought individually that we just can't remember them.  Beware of anything you get in the mail.  Especially these home biz or home work booklets that describe the fabulous riches that await you.  In all the pages they never tell you exactly what you will be doing.

• Home Work Plans - Like paying to manufacture small items in your home is a joke!

• MLM - NEVER EVER WORKS!  DON'T EVEN THINK OF IT EVEN IN THE GUISE OF SELLING PRODUCTS!

• Don't spend more than $9.99 on domain names (If your still paying $29-$35 or more then you are being ripped off big time!) and don't buy a lot. The days of big money sales are over.  In fact no matter how good a name you think you have you would be lucky to get anyone to bid a $1.00 for it.  We wasted thousands on names, and listed them on every auction site on Earth.......NOT ONE BITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  You may think your real witty and came up with a gem of a name, but if you got it then no one else wanted it.  Actually the only name we sold was one that happened to be a name of a companies mail order catalog.  We agreed to let it expire for $400.  Who wants to mess with notarizing.  Don't worry the company was rich.  $400 was a drop in the bucket for them.  We bought legalinvestigations.com to sell many years back, but no one wanted to pay anything worth selling it.  One penny pincher bought another variation on the name even though he is obviously rich!

• New.net domains don't earn you a thing unless they list you in their search results.  Over protective notarization doesn't even make them worth selling as if anyone would buy one!

• So you say why not join them and sell home biz plans.  We did and it didn't work.  You need slick TV ads to make it at all!  We will never sink to the home biz weasels level ever again!  Free affiliate programs are your best chance at risk free income or work it up all day every day until your near death and hope you saved enough in an IRA to enjoy the few retched years you have left!

• Investments in general always require a big chunk of cash.  I love these funds where they say "Only $10,000 to open an account!"  Oh, is that all!  If anyone had $10,000 just sitting around then they must already be living the American dream.  For people living pay check to pay check even $500 to $1000 to open an IRA is not freaking likely!  Only the rich get richer with stock, bonds, etc.!  Rich people are rich because they are smarter than us, fell ass backward into sweet luck, had one hell of a sweet childhood, or inherited it on a silver platter.  People say money doesn't buy everything.  Its the ones without money that say that to make themselves feel better.  The biggest secret of life in this universe is that MONEY DOES BUY EVERYTHING IN THIS LIFETIME- either directly or indirectly.  Don't think of those few sad fools who have money, fame and power but are somehow all messed up and sad.  THEIR IDIOTS who would never be happy no matter what.  Please give it to us if its such a hellish life for you.  FREE YOURSELF OF THE MONEY BURDEN.

In addition, billionaire's suck.  I love these people who accumulate all this wealth so they can say, "Oh look at me.  I'm a freakin billionaire."  Can you imagine if these greedy bastards would give money away and settle for living off of say only $100 million a year.  Oh me oh my it would be so hellish for them not to be a billionaire and to have only 3 yachts while poverty would be ended all over the world.   Oh no we can't have that.  I think anyone could live like a king on $10 million a year, and give the rest away.  But then again we must make sure that all your generations of ancestors get to have their life handed to them on a gold platter so they don't ever have to lift a finger from day 1!   Its interesting how rich people don't have many kids, but the poorest always love to have 12-24 that they expect we will take care of via donations and welfare.  They are given the heave ho at 18 years old while the rich kids who could afford to go just live in a wing of the family mansion.  When they have those commercials for starving children in some dirt hole of a third world country I donate, but I am thinking what nerve to be selfish and careless as to have a child in that environment.  If only rich people had kids then a few hundred years from now everyone would be rich.  If only we had time travel so we could buy some Microsoft stock back in the 80's.  All of which is not bloody likely so in the meantime you rich wizard masters need to tell us how to just make $1000 a week in a home business so we can quit our jobs and live free!  Perhaps a class in senior year of high school would help instead of all these useless classes we never use again!
